Robert “Bob” Lee Studebaker, 70, of Akron, passed away Feb.16, 2024, after losing his battle with cancer. He passed away at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born June 1,1953 to William and Gloria (Wiant) Studebaker. He was employed as a diesel mechanic and driver at Lockhart Development. Prior to his employment at Lockhart, he drove truck for many years and was also a well-known diesel mechanic, many would say one of the best. He operated his own business, Studebaker’s Tractor & Trailer Repair for several years. In his free time, he liked fishing, hunting and camping.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Kimof46 years; daughter Mandi; son Michael; granddaughters Maya and Mylee; sister Cathy (George) Davis; brothers Bruce, Todd (Tara), Scott (Barbie), Rick (Tracy) and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 6:00 pm at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Rt. 619) Portage Lakes, New Franklin. Pastor Gary Hunt, officiating. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, 4:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
